About Boe Green |
|
George (Boe) Green is 39 years old and resides in Berwick, ME with his wife Kimberly and son Ryan. Boe has been employed with the city of Dover, NH as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Auto Body Technician for the last 18 years.
Boe originally became involved in NASCAR racing while working on a pit crew for his uncles Gary and Terry Gaudette. During this time he was approached by Lyle Smith to become a driver for him in 1993 in the Street Stock class at Lee USA Speedway. Throughout his rookie year, as a Street Stock driver, Boe made it a point to prove to himself and his sponsors that he had what it takes to make it in this sport.
In his five years of NASCAR Street Stock racing he was able to improve on his skills and knowledge of the sport, while maintaining an average 7th finishing place. One of his greatest accomplishments was winning the “1997 Oktoberfest” at Lee USA Speedway.
His commitment with Lyle Smith continued into 1998 until he was given the opportunity to advance to the Pro Stock series by one of his then sponsors: ABC Lock & Key. Merle Wentworth, owner of ABC Lock & Key, sponsored Boe Green and the #93 Pro Stock car from 1999-2002. In 2002, Lee USA Speedway decided to no longer run the Pro Stock division.
At the end of 2002 Boe purchased a 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Street Stock car and prepared to run limited schedules in 2003, 2004 & 2005 while redefining the #93 team on a limited budget. Although not racing full time, the team placed in the top ten in point standings for all three seasons. As the 2005 season progressed it was evident that the team was committed to seek out sponsorships that would enable Boe to make a full time run for the 2006 Lee USA Speedway championship.
With hard work and shear determination, Boe and his team fought their way numerous times throughout the season to victory lane to capture wins of both the 2006 Lance Davis Cup Race as well as becoming the 2006 Street Stock Champion at Lee USA Speedway.
Boe believes that with the support of our sponsors, along with the experience and team that he has assembled, that the 2007 Lee USA Speedway NASCAR Late Model Sportsman Championship is well within reach. |
